Sarah started practicing yoga more than six years ago in an attempt to reconnect with her body after more than a decade of suffering from eating disorders. What initially began as simple (and often awkward) movements is now a practice that has become an integral part of who she is both on and off of the mat.
As a teacher, Sarah is passionate about radical body acceptance and helping people discover their unique yoga practice, moving beyond just movement and postures. Both one on one and in a class setting, she provides students with practical tools to help them develop or expand their home practice and make yoga accessible to all bodies.
Sarah studied at Nella Yoga in Kansas City, MO to receive her 200 hour teacher certification with a focus on inclusivity and trauma awareness. She teaches hatha, vinyasa, power, gentle, and restorative styles of yoga in addition to meditation and mindfulness.
